Rent review success despite stiff opposition

Alps Group has successfully concluded another rent review for their retained clients Pilkington.  The rent review was of their 74,000 sq ft industrial premises in Cumbernauld and after tough negotiations, Alps Group was able to save the client over £35,000 pa for 5 years.

Tom Houghton was the rent review surveyor and comments, ‘It is unsurprising in the current market that landlords are looking to maximise the rents from their assets.  In this instance the landlord was looking for a substantial rental increase and due to our experience and contacts throughout the UK we were able to substantiate an argument to the contrary.  This meant a substantial saving to the client which could be put back into the core business.’
