 Building Consultancy and Projects

We divide the life of a building into three key stages; acquisition, occupation and termination. Our building surveyors leave no stone unturned to professionally address all eventualities to achieve the optimum technical and commercial outcomes.

We work with owners and occupiers on all aspects of development and maintenance including the provision of a complete turnkey package for relocation.

  • Acquisition
    – Surveys
    – Schedules of condition
    – Legislative compliance
  • Occupation
    – Surveys
    – Maintenance
    – Reinstatement cost assessments for insurance purposes
  • Termination
    – Dilapidations – on behalf of tenants and landlords
    – Planned winding down of the building’s use
    – Disposal
    – Turnkey package for relocation

    • Source alternatives
    • Acquire the preferred option
    • Design the layout and fit out
    • Arrange the move
    • Deal with the closure and dispose of the existing facility

Property, done properly.

Attention to detail

When we had a 25 acre site that had a major impact on neighbouring residents we knew the planning process was going to come under heavy scrutiny. In setting up an exhaustive process that involved extensive public consultations we were able to get to the Planning Committee with no members of the public feeling the need to attend.

We received a written commendation from the Planning Officer who said they had never before had a major site at Committee with no members of the public wishing to raise an objection.

‘Can do’ attitude

Working on a complicated site disposal in Japan, we assembled a project team using our tried and tested methodology to drive projects to a successful conclusion.  This was a complex project but became more difficult when the agent selected to deal with the disposal part of the exercise, decided that they would pull out 12 months into the project after negotiations with a buyer became protracted; the work, they felt, was not worth the rewards so they cut and ran.

With the clock ticking we stepped up and took on the direct negotiation role ourselves, bringing the project to a highly successful conclusion for the client.
